Step away from the glitter and noise of the season into a day of quiet retreat with noted liturgist and
composer Dan Schutte. Among many other well-loved hymns, Dan Schutte is composer of Here I am,
Lord, and Sing a New Song, and is composer in residence at the University of San Francisco. The
day will consist of reflection, meditation, and sung prayer, inspired by some of his well-known
compositions, such as Christ, Circle Round Us, City of God, Beyond the Moon and Stars, among others.

Advent Confessions On the 12th of December, Tuesday, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm there will be an
opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation individually at St. Anselm Church.
This will be a wonderful preparation for a celebration of Christmas.

a rose to Our Lady’s Altar
Reception: Enjoy the 2nd Altar which includes a
box for petitions, boards with background history
and information about the symbolism within her
image, Mexican food, drinks, and music….etc.
Art Competition: All children are invited to draw
or paint a picture (standard size 8 ½” x 11”) of Our
Lady of Guadalupe, depicting what she means or
represents to them. All images will be displayed at
the reception. Please drop off your child’s entry to
our parish office by December 4th with your child’s
name, parent phone number & email on the back.
The winner will be contacted and receive a prize.

Holy Day of Obligation.

91.7 FM. Dawn has been caring for people with life-threatening illnesses for over a decade. She
is committed to revolutionizing the way we talk about — and prepare for — death.
Planning ahead begins with a conversation. Dawn will show us how we can create a safe space to
transform the experience of end-of- life conversations from dread to discovery.
