Understanding Prayer

This first meeting provided an overview.  Included was a discussion of why we pray, for what/whom do we pray, and how do we pray.   Father Christopher LaRocca, OCD led this session.  

The Mass is composed of so many different types of prayer.  This program offered a “refresher” and reminded people of all the various prayers included within the Mass.  Monsignor Michael Padazinski led this session . 

This session included the Rosary and Adoration of the Holy Eucharist, among other forms of devotional prayer. Sister Hyacinth, O.P. from Marin Catholic led this session.

This included an overview of Jesuit Spirituality/Prayer including the Daily Examen and other Spiritual Exercises, as well as the Divine Office/Morning and Evening Prayer. Father John Whitney, SJ led this session on Monday, October 21.

This session gave parents (and grandparents) ideas about praying as a family/with children. Dan, our Director of Religious Education and Faith Formation led this session on October 27th. This session was not recorded.
