
Register today for religious education classes (aka Sunday School or CCD) for children in P(K) - 8th grade. We have a wonderful program that focuses on the gospel message of Jesus and prepares students in 2nd grade and older to receive the sacrament of First Holy Communion and students in 8th grade and older to receive the sacrament of Confirmation. Holy Week is the most significant week in Catholicism. Spanning from Palm Sunday to Holy Saturday, it marks the final stretch before Easter Sunday, the celebration of Jesus' Resurrection. During this sacred week, Catholics pray and reflect on the profound journey of Jesus' suffering, sacrifice and victory over death.
On Wednesday, September 10th, Sr. Karol Augustine will lead an Evening of Reflection in Centennial Hall for St. Anselm parishioners and their guests. The evening will start with a wine and cheese welcome at 6:30 pm. The presentation will begin at 7 pm.
Sister Karol Augustine was born and raised in the suburbs of Boston. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Divinity from Saint John's University in Minnesota. An experienced high school teacher, she has taught in Chicago, Washington D.C., Phoenix, and Lansing and is currently teaching mathematics at Marin Catholic. Sister Karol is a professed member of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist and lives with her community in Mill Valley.

Fr. Wankar will lead a Rosary Procession around the block today, Friday, October 17. We will meet in the large parking lot off Bolinas Ave. at 5:30 pm. Come join fellow parishioners to answer Pope Leo's call to pray the Rosary for life and world peace during the month of October.

Ryan Mayer from the Archdiocese of San Francisco will lead a talk titled "Living the Gospel of Life: Understanding Human Life and Dignity" in Centennial Hall for St. Anselm parishioners and guests. The evening will start with a wine and cheese welcome at 6:30 pm. The presentation will begin at 7 pm.
Attending this 1-hour talk will assist in developing a personal appreciation for and approach to societal and personal issues founded upon the definition of life and the value of life, including but not limited to:

Giving Tuesday reminds us to give back and celebrate generosity after the commercial spending days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It focuses on selfless giving to others. As Christians, this is our calling. Consider how you can be generous on Giving Tuesday, including joining a ministry or donating to the church.

The Advent season is a time of preparation that directs our hearts and minds to Christ’s second coming at the end of time and to the anniversary of Our Lord’s birth on Christmas. Advent includes an element of penance in the sense of preparing, quieting, and disciplining our hearts for the full joy of Christmas.

Fr. Neil Healy has passed away at the age of 83. He was ordained to the priesthood in the Diocese of Waterford, Ireland 59 years ago. Fr. Healy served in the Archdiocese of San Francisco from 1979 until his retirement in 2015, including fourteen years as a well-loved and energetic Pastor of St. Anselm.

All parishioners are invited to attend. Age-appropriate refreshments will be served to young and old. Games will be available for school-aged children and adults. Plus, for NFL fans, the 49ers game will be projected on the screen so you can keep track of the score.
