Season of lent

The Parable of the Prodigal Son

 Join Deacon Bob Meave for the five Tuesdays leading up to Holy Week in reflections on the beloved parable of the Prodigal Son. The discussions will be anchored by the acclaimed book, The Return of the Prodigal Son, by Henri Noven.

Pray the Rosary

We pray the rosary at 8 am each weekday before Mass.

All are invited to participate. 

Stations of the Cross

Fr. Gabriel will pray the Stations of the Cross with parishioners and guests in the church each Friday during Lent at 7 pm.

Fasting and Abstinence

 Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are days of abstinence.

 Each Wednesday afternoon at 4 pm, Deacon Bob Meave will explore the readings for the upcoming weekend Mass. All are invited.

Food Drive

On February 24 & 25th, St. Anselm parishioners are invited to bring non-perishable food to help feed our Marin county neighbors in need. Volunteer to staff the truck we use to receive food brought by parishioners.

Eucharistic Adoration

 Eucharistic Adoration will take place in St. Anselm church on Friday, March 1.

 

Adoration begins at 9 am, immediately following the 8:30 am Mass. Father Gabriel will hear Confessions between 9 and 10 am. Adoration concludes with a Benediction at 10 am.  

Installation Mass with Archbishop Cordileone

All are invited to come to Mass on March 3 at 10 am for the formal installation of Fr. Gabriel as the thirteenth Pastor of St. Anselm parish by Archbishop Cordileone.

Get to Know Fr. Gabriel

After praying the Stations of the Cross on February 16th (the First Friday in Lent), join fellow parishioners in Centennial Hall to spend some time in an informal setting getting to know Father Gabriel. All parishioners are invited. No registration required. 

Ash Wednesday Mass

Participate in Mass and receive ashes  on Wednesday, February 14. Mass times: 8:30 am, 12 noon, 7:00 pm
